Designed for the measurement of solid state Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR), Electron Magnetic / Paramagnetic/ Spin resonance (EMR, EPR, ESR) and Ion Cyclotron Resonance (ICR) applications.
The TeslatronMR consists of a vertically mounted solenoid in a low loss cryostat fitted with a variable temperature insert. Each component is available with a number of options.

Options

  • Magnets are 7, 9 or 12 Tesla with either 54mm or 88mm room temperature bore. Standard field homogeneity is 10ppm (over 10mm dsv) and 1ppm is available. Additional sweep and modulation coils may be fitted
  • Current leads. Choose fixed magnet current leads for applications where the magnetic field is to be changed often. Fixed leads can also be optimised for low helium consumption when carrying current or not carrying current. Choose demountable magnet current leads to reduce helium boiloff when the magnet is to be held persistent for long periods

Several sample environment options are available depending on the temperature range of interest.

  • Measurements 1.5 - 300K use a variable temperature insert (VTI) integrated with the main cryostat
  • A CF (continuous flow) cryostat can be fitted to the room temperature bore of the cryostat for sample measurements between 2.7 - 500K
  • The HelioxTM (helium3) insert enables samples to be cooled down to 300mK. The Heliox fits inside the VTI, so both are needed
  • For the lowest sample temperatures (to 25mK) use one of the range of KelvinoxTM dilution refrigerator inserts. For even lower temperatures contact Oxford Instruments

Automation
LabVIEWTM virtual instruments are available for all Oxford Instruments Superconductivity electronics to allow automation of temperature and field. These can be integrated into a complete data acquisition system.
